Sojourner’s Hope Circle is made up of loyal supporters providing stability to survivors through monthly or quarterly gifts. By making gifts over time, it allows Sojourner flexibility to meet the immediate needs of every individual and family that reaches out for resources, shelter, and support.
Hope Circle membership begins at just $10 monthly or $15 quarterly. You choose the amount of your impact and have the ability to end your membership at any time. It’s easy to join – use the form below to begin your automatic recurring gifts.
Help, support, and healing are available day and night thanks to recurring donors like you. For every survivor who reaches out, Hope Circle members ensure there is a timely, strategic response for all.
The journey does not stop when a survivor leaves. For many it is the start towards rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for being a part of their journey and spreading hope along the way.
Sincerely,
Sojourner Family Peace Center
Sojourner has therapy services available for adults and children who have experienced violence, abuse, and trauma. Working with a therapist can be a powerful way to heal trauma, deepen resilience, and process an experience.
We can do a lot of healing individually, but we can also heal in community with others. In support group settings facilitated by Sojourner, survivors gather to share their experiences, support each other, and heal together.
Having someone in your corner to support you on this journey can make a big difference. At Sojourner, we have Advocates who help survivors make a plan to stay safe, connect them with services, accompany survivors to court, talk through options, help survivors set and reach their goals, and support them along the way.
For more information about Sojourner’s Hope Circle, please contact Lindsay Schoettlin, Director of Development, at 414.810.1514 or [email protected].
Sojourner is the most comprehensive provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin.
Our 53-bed shelter provides safety and stability for survivors of domestic violence. On-site Advocates walk with survivors on their journey of healing and rebuilding their lives.
We offer support to survivors as they file police reports and restraining orders and connect them with needed services and resources.
Within our innovative Family Peace Center building, survivors can easily access legal, healthcare and social services provided by 13 community partners, including the Milwaukee Police Department, Children’s Wisconsin and Milwaukee Public Schools — all located together under one roof.
Sojourner has been designated the 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline for the City of Milwaukee and outlying communities since 1986. Staff and volunteers speak directly with victims from the scene of domestic violence incidents investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department and 18 suburban police departments in situations that are subsequently reviewed for criminal charges by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office.
Advocates working our 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline and Textline offer information and support, and can help survivors of all ages. All conversations are confidential.
