Lullaby Project

Organizations partner to provide healing through music for families experiencing domestic violence

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is one of over 60 organizations across the country and the
world to be a Lullaby Project partner, a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. For
eight years, they have partnered with Sojourner Family Peace Center to pair survivors with
professional teaching artists to write personal lullabies for their children, supporting healing for
families impacted by domestic violence.

The program concludes with a celebration concert in which survivors, teaching artists, and MSO
musicians perform the lullabies.
