Peace Brew - Restorative Practices Pilot Sites Program
Thursday, January 23
9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Sojourner Family Peace Center
619 W Walnut St, Milwaukee, WI, 53212

Sojourner Family Peace Center, in partnership with Marquette University, is proud to have been selected by the Justice Department’s Office on Violence Against Women as one of only 11 organizations across the country to take part in the Restorative Practices Pilot Sites Program. "This pilot program provides Sojourner and partners a groundbreaking opportunity to reshape how we address domestic violence by creating pathways for healing and accountability outside of traditional judicial channels. Through this initiative, we’ll support survivors by centering their voices and offering them and their loved ones an alternative to a complex and often daunting legal process,” says Sojourner President and CEO, Carmen Pitre.

During January’s Peace Brew, we’ll discuss this innovative program which focuses on trauma-informed and survivor-centered care by supporting and expanding existing restorative practices programs for families impacted by domestic violence.

Please register below. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Peace Brew is proudly sponsored by Colectivo Coffee! The first 25 participants to attend will receive a free pound of coffee from Colectivo’s special blend chosen specifically for this series.
