and our joint efforts to make the city a safer place for everyone.

How to Help
1. Share Sojourner’s social posts leading up to, and during, 414 Day
2. Create your own social fundraiser with a goal of raising $414 by April 14th
• Share your why – Why do you support Sojourner? What is your connection? Why are you passionate about the mission?
• Use the image above to show your connection to Sojourner’s efforts
3. Make a gift and encourage others to do the same

HOW TO CREATE A FACEBOOK FUNDRAISER

FROM YOUR PHONE
1. Go to the Facebook app.
2. Click the three lines in either the bottom right corner (iPhone) or top right corner (Android).
3. Click the Fundraisers tab. If you can’t see that option, click “see more” or search for “fundraiser” for direct access.
4. Select “Create Fundraiser”
5. Skip to the “From All Devices” instructions

FROM YOUR COMPUTER
1. Log into your Facebook page
2. At the bottom of the left side menu, you’ll see a section that says “Create.” Click “Fundraisers.”

FROM ALL DEVICES
1. From the Create a Fundraiser page, click “Get Started” OR “Raise Money”
2. Click the “Nonprofit” box
3. Search for Sojourner Foundation Inc.
4. Add your title and a description explaining why you are choosing to support survivors served at Sojourner.
5. Set a goal amount and end date. Are you willing to raise $414, $750, or $1,000? Remember! Every dollar raised will support the
domestic violence survivors we serve.
6. To get started, press “Next” then “Create!”
7. Press “Invite Friends” to invite your Facebook friends to donate to your campaign. When you invite friends, they will receive a
notification about your fundraiser.
8. Click “Share Fundraiser” to share your Fundraiser as a post on your own timeline. This way, your friends with Facebook can see it,
know you’re supporting Sojourner, and have the opportunity to donate to your fundraiser. You can also write messages about the
campaign and send your fundraiser to each of your friends via private messages on Facebook messenger.
9. From your computer, you can send email invitations to your contacts to invite them to donate – but only those with Facebook accounts
can donate via Facebook. If you have someone who is interested in making a donation who isn’t on Facebook, please direct them to
our website to donate – familypeacecenter.org.
10. As donations come in for your fundraiser, you’ll receive notifications about who has donated and their contribution amount. Only you
can see how much each of your friends and family members has contributed, but everyone will receive updates of how great your
fundraiser is doing!

How to create an Instagram fundraiser

FROM YOUR ANDROID
1. Tap (+) Create at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.
2. Create or choose your image and tap Next.
3. Crop and filter your post, and then tap Next.
4. Tap More Options, then tap Add fundraiser.
5. Select Sojourner Family Peace Center Inc. Tap Edit fundraiser go to the “Fundraiser Details” page.
6. Enter the details for your fundraiser and then tap Done.
7. Tap Share.

FROM YOUR IPHONE
1. Tap (+) Create at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.

I choose to stand with the domestic violence survivors in our community. Please join me in supporting Sojourner as they celebrate their 50th anniversary serving individuals and families fleeing violence. On April 14th, I will celebrate 414 Day by raising funds 4 the 1 in 4 women, and 1 in 7 men, experiencing domestic violence. Help me reach my goal of $414 to break the generational cycle of violence so prevalent in Milwaukee. I know we can make a difference together!
