Our team is stronger because of YOU

There’s a saying: Teamwork makes the dream work.

It may sound corny, but it’s true. This past year has been so hard. The pandemic has created urgent, new challenges for survivors.

It’s taken all of us working together as a team to overcome obstacles to serve domestic violence survivors and their families.

From caring, calm staff who manage our domestic violence crisis hotline to skilled support group leaders who listen without judgement and create safe spaces to heal to generous donors who invest in lifesaving our services — we appreciate everyone pulling together and rising to the call.

The need increases

As the pandemic continues, demand for our services continues to increase. Survivors need us now more than ever.

Violence is more intense, unpredictable and lethal during these times of extreme stress and economic hardship. Murders committed by loved ones and partners have skyrocketed.

In Milwaukee County, domestic violence-related deaths have increased by 400% in the past 2 years. A record 50 people, including 9 children, lost their lives to domestic violence last year.

It’s tragic. And it’s also preventable.

Please give.

Please consider making a gift today to support our work. Your donation — no matter the size — is critical to provide safety planning, restraining order help, emergency shelter, advocacy and healing services for survivors and their families.

We are grateful for, and rely upon, support from generous individuals, companies and organizations.

Thank you!
