Shelter Welcomed Special Guests!
On Sunday, holiday spirit was abundant when Santa and his elves arrived with a sleigh full of dolls and festive necklaces for children, and warm scarves and chocolate covered cherries for Moms and other residents. This special visit was arranged by Board Member Tom Gale.
Before coming to Sojourner, Tom and his friend Bob Fuchs collected gifts in a Wauwatosa neighborhood where residents donate new children’s toys for clients. “The expression ‘It’s better to give than to receive’ was never truer,” said Tom. “It was a thrill and a privilege to be part of the magic for the kids to experience.”
We are also grateful for Kenyatta Bryant, Associate Director of Advocacy (Shelter and Children’s Programming) and Jeremy Moore, Director of Public Safety and Security, for participating in this special activity.
