Sojourner
Sojourner's mission is to transform lives impacted by family violence. Sojourner provides crisis housing, system advocacy and support to people who are impacted by family violence.
Sojourner's primary goals are to ensure the safety of victims of family violence and to provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.
Sojourner programs and services include:
FPC Advocacy - provides advocacy, crisis intervention, in-depth case management services and empowerment support groups to adult victims of domestic violence. All support groups are held in confidential locations and are co-taught by two facilitators.
Hope & Healing Program - supports adult survivors with pursuing their passions and goals, reclaiming their voice, building community with fellow survivors, and engaging in a variety of wellness opportunities.
Russian-Speaking Family Strengthening Program - Provides advocacy and in-depth case management services to Russian-speaking adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking throughout the state of Wisconsin. All services are strictly confidential, free and survivor-focused.
Children’s Program - Drop-in services to accommodate children coming into the Family Peace Center with a parent for appointments and/or seeking services with any partners on site.
Sojourner Truth House - 24-hour crisis shelter provides support and assistance to adults and children who are fleeing domestic/sexual violence and/or human trafficking.
